hello and good day to you all! i know it's been quite a while and boy, i did miss xanga.

i got back to hawaii sometime in may and since then, i've basically spent everyday at the golf course or, in some other form, out and about, having loads of fun and getting myself into quite a bit of mischief and mayhem. mind you, mis and may aren't necessarily bad things.. but then again, they're not necessarily good things either. but i won't get into the particulars and i'll just say, i had the time of my life.

academically, the rumors are true. i am back at school at the university of hawaii manoa. the fall semester began on august 25 and, since then, i have been studying strenuously in order to prove to myself that i still have a brain and some sense of discipline. by george, after a year though of not using anything up there, it sure does hurt something awful after reading a chapter of, say, business law. heck, even reading the comics section in the paper for a while tickled my head a good one.

hn. let's see. so, i have classes and i'm also on the UH golf team. the girl's on the team are all very good players. there are three of us from hawaii and seven from california, washington, and one all the way from sweden. division 1 athletics are very different from anything else i've ever been in. we get so much free stuff! shoes, clothes, socks, visors, discount clubs, contacts even!, PROV1 balls, tees, travel bags with our names on it.. and what i've always always wanted *insert significant pause* a PING hoofer golf bag with MY NAME EMBROIDERED ON THE SIDE! how awesome is that?!

so life is fairly good right now. i got to see or talk to a lot of people i haven't seen for a while and i think i know what i want to do with my life. i THINK i want to be a golf pro! nto a pro golfer like on the tour but a golf teaching head pro at a golf course like waialae country club. the pay is pretty good, i still need to know a lot of business and PR stuff, paperwork is a defnite must.. but i'll be able to be on the golf course and play whenever i have the fancy! it just sounds.. ideal.

so, before this turns into something insanely mundane (if it hasn't already), i'm going to go do something PRODUCTIVE. not sure what yet.

so i missed a month. so much for at least monthly updating...

classes ended last wednesday and now, on the home stretch (literally, eh?) i can't wait for this week to end. caressa and my dad are actually flying all the way up here to visit in 2 days and i can't wait. hopefully i'll be done with all of my papers before then but, thus far, things don't look too promising.

my flight back to hawaii is scheduled for the 21st. where's the fast forward button on life when you need one.

i can't wait to arrive back in honolulu airport and feel the humidity and see the coconut trees and all the local people. and the flowers and the familiar buildings and my tv. can't forget my tv.

so what are all of you kids doing this summer? ah, i'm sorry i haven't called but my cell phone broke (i know what you're thinking. yes, i would have called). right into two separate pieces, too. i was holding the screen in one hand, the keypad in another. horrific sight i tell you. downright traumatizing. if you could, please e-mail me your number or give me a call! i really want to get in touch with everyone. miss you all tons.

but yes, plans this summer... i'm taking japanese and social psyc during the first session of UH, econ and developmental psyc second session. oh, and BIG and PLEASANT surprise. turns out shorty and i are in the same econ classes. talk about serendipity. did i use that word correctly?

besides classes, hopefully i'll be getting a job somewhere and, of course, it's back to golfing. besides all that, hopefully meeting up with everyone. did i mention i miss you all tons?

well, i'm off to.. well, i'm not sure really. decisions, decisions..

so, a month later, what has been accomplished? what exciting adventures have occured? what papers have been turned in and what papers have not?

goshdarn honest truth, nothing really has happened. weird. the past month has just dwindled on by. days are spent in class (usually), at golf practice, in the dorm, and at dining halls or the student center. weekends often include one party night and one dinner and movie night. it's just been very... cruise. papers are sometimes turned in on time, sometimes not (thank god extensions were invented). long phone talks, attempts at dropping the insane amount of weight i've gained here...

well, spring break was last week. the golf team went on down to kaiwah islands, south carolina. not much there except for resort-y stuff. but PLENTY PLENTY golf and SWEET MOTHER! SUN SUN SUN!!! it was so awesome to feel heat and see a golf ball soar into the blue skies. almost had hypothermia on one of the rainy days (mental note: wear more than shorts and a t-shirt when playing in pouring rain, gusting winds, and 45 degree weather. rain gear to the rescue!) and there were more than 600 crocodiles dispersed over the five courses there! i got THIS close to one of them. and our team beat amherst, the number 2 division 3 school, by 15 shots. lots of bonding. you girl's are beautiful;)

only about 5 more weeks of classes to go then home to all you lovely Hawaii people! hope all is well and good. miss everyone much and may the Force be with you...
